January 2025 | ACME 1.1
Vol.1 | Iss.1 | Animal Cracker Mailbag Express

I wanted 2025 to be a year of big expansion for me. I had planned for that in 2023 and 2024 previously, though, and I don't feel I ever hit anywhere towards my intended goals but we're only one month in to 2025 and I feel like I'm on the right track.

I've put up my first gig on Fiverr and already have had a couple people hire me to dress up as a doctor and make them a video. I'll be adding more gigs over the coming weeks showing off the wide array of costumes and props I've accumulated.

I like being in front of the camera and I like being silly. I hope these two qualities can let me bring you a silly video for you to use in your creative

I'll also be doubling down on ko-fi and providing more casual, supporter only things there. I've already started posting an audio only music show where I play tunes and talk about the music or something the music makes me think of as well as videos going in depth of creative projects I'm working on. The plan is to consistently do one of those or the other each month.

Now, let's take a look at what has been happening over on Animal Cracker Television.

On The Self Discovery Channel, we've got a pair of Obsidian tutorials. Here I share with everyone a cool calendar setup that you can use for your Daily Notes in Obsidian made by a community member on the official Obsidian forums.

Here we take a casual, easy to understand look at how you can customize and make practical use of Callouts in Obsidian.

This coming month will see some spotlights on cool creative tools you can use to create your fictional world as well as a look at the latest update for Eagle, my favorite digital asset manager.

On Animal Cracker Gaming, we've got some new releases and community projects. The end of January saw the release of Citizen Sleeper 2, the sequel to one of my favorite RPGs of recent years and I streamed my day one experience. It's a brutal, harsh game that I really, really adore.

I've been exploring Pico-8 games a lot lately and have been sharing that experience as well. Pico-8 is a great environment for making retro-style video games and there are an endless amount of games people have made for it and I've been going through them.

And over on the Variety Hour, we've got a new ad campaign airing for Philips Brand Colon Health. Some notable actors indulge in it, according to the ads.
